SMS Terms
Effective date: August 10, 2026
These terms cover text messages sent by JobSecured on behalf of the local service businesses whose phone lines we answer, and messages sent to our own business clients.
Program description
JobSecured sends transactional and service-related text messages, including:
- Appointment confirmations and reminders for callers who book service with a participating business
- Call summary notifications delivered to the business client whose line was answered
We do not send promotional marketing blasts, and consent to receive service messages is never a condition of purchasing anything.
How consent works
There are exactly two ways a phone number is enrolled to receive text messages from JobSecured. No other method is used, and JobSecured never sends messages to numbers obtained from purchased lists, third parties, or any source other than the two described below. In neither case is text consent a condition of buying, using, or completing anything. Declining texts changes nothing about the service you receive.
1. Callers to a participating business: verbal opt-in during the call
A caller dials a local plumbing or HVAC business whose line JobSecured answers. During that inbound call, after the caller has provided their phone number to book service or request a callback, our assistant asks for text consent using this script:
A text is sent only if the caller answers yes. If the caller declines, says nothing, or is unclear, no text is sent and the number is not enrolled. Consent is captured on the call recording with a date and time stamp. There is no website form, keyword, QR code, or paper form for caller opt-in; verbal consent during the call is the only method.
2. Business clients: optional web form, separate from any agreement
Owners of the businesses whose lines we answer opt in to call summary texts by completing the standalone form at jobsecured.co/sms-optin.html. The form carries a consent checkbox that is unchecked by default and must be actively selected. The checkbox reads:
Text consent is not collected anywhere in the JobSecured Client Service Agreement, is not bundled into our terms of service, and is not required to buy, use, or continue any JobSecured plan. A client who never opens this form receives every call summary by email exactly as normal.
Consent obtained by either method can be withdrawn at any time by replying STOP to any message.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies based on call and appointment activity. Typically 1 to 3 messages per booked appointment for callers, and one summary message per answered call for business clients.
Fees
Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan. JobSecured does not charge callers for text messages.
Opt out
Reply STOP to any message to opt out. You will receive one final message confirming your opt-out, and no further messages will be sent to your number. You can re-subscribe by giving consent again on a future call, or at jobsecured.co/sms-optin.html.
